I get this error when i try to startup Cod Ghosts: MENU_CONTENTS_NOT_AVAILABLE

This is what i've done:

*Right clicked Ghosts & then choose language to English, did not work

*Verify cache

Also, the Polish language version it WORKS... I can play, but the thing is, i don't understand polish, so please please help me!

Wallhackers/Aimbotters are everywhere now. I don't know what's changed, but it's incredibly frequent now.

Please do something about it already, this is really absurd. It seems like zero resources are being poured into controlling this problem on PC.

I was playing a regular match of Team Death Match in Call of Duty: Ghosts and after I finished the game, I logged out. The next day I came back it said I could not connect to the game, telling me to check back later and to check the game's server status. The issue persisted for more than a week and later on the game had a message saying that I was VAC Banned. I was extremely confused at this point, because the only way to get banned is if you broken the code of conducts found in the link bellow.

I then went into the official Call of Duty: Ghosts forum which is the one we are on right now, and I noticed that there are many posts that are extremely similar. This is crucial, because this means that I am not the only one with this issue. What I am thinking right now is that the latest patch note stated that there was an "overall anti-cheat improvements" (candyslexia). This can be found in the link bellow under the update on June 6, 2014.

In addition, this was not the first time that this has happened in Call of Duty: Ghosts overall. This issue was first presented on the Playstation 3 and the Playstation 4 where there was a ban wave occurring during March 16, 2014. The article's link can be found bellow this section written by David Veselki. Moreover, it was stated at first by Activision that the bans "will not be reversed" (Activision). This was then revised by Activision that stating that “[they] understand some players were incorrectly banned over the weekend and [they] have since corrected the issue. Try playing again now” (Activision). Based off this, Activision has taken responsibility to reverse the effect of this horrible mistake on the major Playstation consoles, but so far have not corrected this issue persisting on the PC version of Call of Duty: Ghosts. Users on Steam now have a VAC Ban linked to their account. PC players have contacted Activision support and the only information provided was "all bans are final and irreversible" (Abigail). Activision support is basically saying that no far, they have no intentions into removing the bans from the accounts effected negatively.

The PC community is definitely smaller than the consoles, but should not be unheard and not cared for. PC players are loyal customers of the Call of Duty franchise but sadly this issue may push us away slowly. Factors of this were also the game not being optimized to it's full potential but optimization can be tolerated, but punishing innocent players without compensation is another story. No one, including console users will want to play a game that falsely punishes innocent players. Many players, once again including console users, have been reported for hacking and have been banned due to them achieving high kill streaks, but what is the 25 gun streak rewards for? It is to be achieved and not used as a way of determining who is a hacker. "Mistakes were make" but many can be fixed like hitting the re-spawn button in game, or simply listening to the community for feedback if you are a developer and take it into action. We all are forgiving people if we are understood and considered and many issues can be fixed with some determination. Please lift the bans, and communicate with the Steam Enforcement team to lift the VAC Bans from innocent players who have been effected.

My Thoughts

We are all people and makes mistakes than can be reversed, but sometimes we need some help and suggestions and a little bit of change. For example, there can be a Ban Appeal system in action for players to be given a chance to show their point of view of a situation, this is why courts are fixed in the real world. Simple things like these can bring a gaming community closer together.

Yesterday, i was hosting a private match to play with some buddies (Dropzone on Freefall with short drop-interval) and after 2 minutes or so my screen went black, kicked me back to the menus and told me that my account was now permanently banned.

I was never cheating, hacking, modding, boosting or anything else. Heck, i even didn't play CoD: Ghosts regularly anymore.

Regarding the sheer number of obviously unjustified bans happening throughout the last months, the statement that every ban is thoroughly checked etc. is just ridiculous.

So, can someone please share some insight on why this is happening and lift the wrongly issued bans?

• O.S:Windows 8 64 bits
• GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 670MX 3GB / Directx 11 support / Up to date driver to version: 331.65
• RAM: 12GB
• Processor: Intel core i7-3630QM CPU@ 2.40GHz (8CPUs) ~2.4GHz

I installed the game 3 times whit all their components (Visual, framework, Directx etc..) got the latest video card drivers, Directx 11, etc... and I still getting the same result "iw6sp64_ship.exe - Application Error: The application was unable to start correctly )0x000007b). Click OK to close the applicaton" I also have Battlefield 4 and runs whit no problems so wtf it's happening??@ I'm from México and I paid $59 US Dollars (743 Mexican pesos)!!!

I check and double check the system requeriments and my laptop CAN play this game so... NOW WHAT?!

Does anyone have the same issue??

Hey, just a quick rundown of my specs

NVIDIA 660TI

8GBs RAM

i5 --3250k

Now that we have that out of the way, I've come here to fix an issue that, apparently, Infinity Ward hasn't cared about yet. If you're experiencing Hitching/Stuttering (jerky feeling when looking around, sudden freezes for about 1-2 seconds) then this may help you. Some of this information I found from another website, and I'll add the link to the bottom of my post.

FIRST

Update to the latest drivers from Nvidia or AMD.

• Download the latest Nvidia drivers here.
• Download the latest AMD drivers here.

New drivers were released for CoD: Ghosts & Battlefield 4 to improve stability and performance.

SECOND

Part 1:

• Change from Full Screen to "Windows (No Border)" under Options > Video Settings.

Part 2:

• Under Options > Video Settings > Advanced Video Settings turn these settings off
  • Distortion
  • Motion Blur
  • Depth of Field
  • Terrain Detail
• While running CoD: Ghosts
  • Press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC, locate iw6mp64_ship.exe, right click, then Set Priority: Normal
• Turn Off Shadows
  • ! This sounds crazy, and like it would have a dramatic effect on your game, however, not really. The game becomes a little bit brighter, and there is a subtle difference, but believe me, this was what fixed mine, 100%.

There you have it, the list of fixes that resolved all of my stuttering/hitching. Hopefully, those will work for you. The shadows was really beneficial, it made everything a lot easier to see and completely corrected the issues I was having (at least until IW or Activision come up with some sort of resolution).

Hi,

I'm using COD ghosts on PC (steam platform) and it crashes  few seconds after I put down the drill.

It crashes only in extinction mode...

Anyone knows what I can do?

I know, I know, why are you using a gamepad on PC. hahaha

On single player my controller was found and works perfectly.
BUT in Multiplayer even after going into the options and selecting controls to a gamepad it doesn't work.
It worked the first day I installed the game via Steam in MP but now it will not.

DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS ISSUE?

First off obviously there are Hackers in this and practically any Multiplayer game, and Ghost is not exclusive to the Noob Hacker club. So this discussion isn't about whether there are Hackers, there are and it's a fact, but more on 'How you know for sure someone is hacking, or a good player.'

If I list 'my' interpretation right off then it will only color your opinions verses other opinions and verses some facts. Key word is facts.

I'm a decent FPS gamer and quite frankly I feel like I'm having an 'off day' unless someone throws a hackusation at me every so often...in Ghosts it's about every 2~3 days. It was the same for BO2 and this forum attracts hackusations as the topic of choice along with an assortment of broken attributes of a particular game.

Q - How do you know someone is actually hacking?

I wanted to give a try at sound whoring so I bought this virtual 7.1 headset. Tom's hardware gave it a solid score and it was in my price range so I said, "what the heck?".

This headset is garbage! Extremely poor bass. I can't hear crap even with the amplify perk on. I fiddled with most of the eq presets and they all sound nearly the same. Everything sounds muffled or hollow and God forbid a helicopter fly over because it so friggen loud it drowns out everything else.

I googled for some help but all the settings I see are from the old driver but the new driver appears to have removed the virtual shift and eq presets those people were suggesting.

I switched USB ports and noticed 1 of my front/top ports was significantly down in volume. Moving to another USB port helped make everything louder but the equalization is just all jacked up. The best preset is reference. I hear no difference between 5.1 and 7.1 through CODg.

Does anyone use this headset? If so, do you mind sharing your EQ settings? I'm trying to salvage this $100 headset but so far, my $65 stereo Turtle Beach X11's put this to shame. Sadly, even my stereo speakers (Audio Engine) beat both of these headsets but it's hard to sound whore with stereo speakers.

And i wait since 2 months for the dedicated servers. I play the game on pc and its the same **** like BlackOps 2 with Hosting Lobbys. You cant play a clanwar without Servers like CoD1, CoD2, CoD4, CoD WaW, CoD BO1 and CoD MW3. And we need a Demofunction. Thank you Activision and Invinitward for the great game -.-....

I was fairly mad, I tried three times to replay a match before it started working again. Once, and once only did I try the fovely fov changer for one or two matches, and that was about two or three weeks ago.

I have changed settings in the options menu, and on the multi-player config file.

As I mentioned I can play again online, but why did this message appear if I am allowed to play? Anybody any ideas on this?

Before you ask, I have not downloaded or installed any other program to alter the game in any way, in other words I am not a hacker! One look at my stats will tell you I don't cheat...

Ok, so i've installed both singleplayer and multiplayer all worked up to finally play, and BAMM! this flicking piece of doo-doo error smacks me in the face. I've checked and my PC got better specs than requiered, I've updated drivers, verified intergrity of game cache, got directx 11, and I still can't play!!!! I'm able to play Bo2 just fine but this....!!!

Gah, Please help me find a solution for this, thanks!

ps. I can't play Singleplayer, nor can I play multiplayer....
