VAC Ban while playing COD Ghosts

Hello everyone,

my name is Phil and I recently downloaded Call of Duty Ghosts due to the Free Weekend Deal from Steam. Just to get things straight, I have never owned any Call of Duty games before, but I was looking forward buying one. After downloading the game, which roughly took a whole day due to my terrible internet (I live in Germany by the way), I was able to run Ghosts, but only for about 20 minutes (I was able playing 2 matches) and suddenly I was VAC banned. Just like that. For no reason. I know that you get half a dozen of those 'I didn't hack, I am innocent' posts, but this one is legit. I have never hacked before, I didn't even know what a VAC ban was until I looked it up 5 minutes ago, I made an account just to create this post(eventually to actually use it when I bought COD Ghosts in the nearest future), and I have only been able to play 2 matches which weren't even satisfactory for me. I mean seriously? A VAC ban? For getting KD's like 4 kills/ 11 deaths? How does any of this refelect me hacking? Is this just a VAC bug? I am devastated. I just wanted to try the free 'Demo' and rankup a bit (I was rank 3) and then buy the actual game. I don't know what to say. I would greatly appreciate a quick response and maybe you can reverse it? I really don't know how this system works. One thought just slided past me: I might have been VAC banned due to my terrible internet. I was experiencing severe internet lag at some parts of the game so this could have inflicted this ban.

CoD: Ghosts Hitching/Stuttering Fix

Hey, just a quick rundown of my specs

 

NVIDIA 660TI

8GBs RAM

i5 --3250k

 

Now that we have that out of the way, I've come here to fix an issue that, apparently, Infinity Ward hasn't cared about yet. If you're experiencing Hitching/Stuttering (jerky feeling when looking around, sudden freezes for about 1-2 seconds) then this may help you. Some of this information I found from another website, and I'll add the link to the bottom of my post.

 

 

FIRST

Update to the latest drivers from Nvidia or AMD.

New drivers were released for CoD: Ghosts & Battlefield 4 to improve stability and performance.

 

SECOND

 

Part 1:

  • Change from Full Screen to "Windows (No Border)" under Options > Video Settings.

 

Part 2:

  • Under Options > Video Settings > Advanced Video Settings turn these settings off
    • Distortion
    • Motion Blur
    • Depth of Field
    • Terrain Detail
  • While running CoD: Ghosts
    • Press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC, locate iw6mp64_ship.exe, right click, then Set Priority: Normal
  • Turn Off Shadows
    • ! This sounds crazy, and like it would have a dramatic effect on your game, however, not really. The game becomes a little bit brighter, and there is a subtle difference, but believe me, this was what fixed mine, 100%.

 

 

 

There you have it, the list of fixes that resolved all of my stuttering/hitching. Hopefully, those will work for you. The shadows was really beneficial, it made everything a lot easier to see and completely corrected the issues I was having (at least until IW or Activision come up with some sort of resolution).

iw6sp64_ship.exe - Application Error

When I double click the .exe immediately comes out this message "iw6sp64_ship.exe - Application Error: The application was unable to start correctly )0x000007b). Click OK to close the applicaton"

 

My laptop is an "ASUS Republic of Gamers G75VW"

 

It comes whit:

 

  • O.S:Windows 8 64 bits
  • GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 670MX 3GB / Directx 11 support / Up to date driver to version: 331.65
  • RAM: 12GB
  • Processor: Intel core i7-3630QM CPU@ 2.40GHz (8CPUs) ~2.4GHz

 

I installed the game 3 times whit all their components (Visual, framework, Directx etc..) got the latest video card drivers, Directx 11, etc... and I still getting the same result "iw6sp64_ship.exe - Application Error: The application was unable to start correctly )0x000007b). Click OK to close the applicaton" I also have Battlefield 4 and runs whit no problems so wtf it's happening??@ I'm from México and I paid $59 US Dollars (743 Mexican pesos)!!!

 

I check and double check the system requeriments and my laptop CAN play this game so... NOW WHAT?!

 

Does anyone have the same issue??

Cant get past mission Atlas Fall... CRASH

game crashes when i try play Atlas Fall... half way through loading it crashes. Cant even finish single player because i cant even play that mission. Im pretty sure its not my PC's fault

Hoy después de jugar una partida me ha salido un mensaje y como no me conectaba he mirado en Steam y me da este mensaje:

Hemos confirmado que tu cuenta xxxxxxxha sido bloqueada en el juego Call of Duty: Ghosts - Multiplayer.

Los bloqueos en juegos no son bloqueos por VAC y los emite el propio juego.El Soporte de Steam no puede eliminar tus bloqueos en juegos o proporcionarte más información sobre ellos. Toda la información que puedes recibir sobre el bloqueo te ha sido proporcionada dentro del juego.

Por favor, recuerda que tú eres el responsable de la seguridad de tu cuenta y de cualquier bloqueo en juegos resultado de una cuenta robada o compartida.

 

 

Pero que narices he hecho para que se me bloquee la posibilidad de jugar en multijugador???

DirectX error - why I can't play

When i try to play call of duty ghost on my pc, it says an error, "DirectX encountered an unrecoverable error, Check the readme for possible solutions" is there a way to fix that error? I don't know they mean by 'readme'.

Constant crashes - Nvidia driver stopped responding

I am having constant crashes to desktop with an error in Event Viewer:

2) Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.

 

My PC specs: Nvidia GTX580, i5-2500, 16GB of RAM, Win 7 x64, up to date Nvidia drivers 331.65

 

Any solutions? Suggestions?

Call of Duty Ghost on Mac.

Hello community!

Is the game available for mac, and is it possible to get a download version of the game, since the new iMac's doesn't take DVD's.

Some say that it is compatible with mac and some say it isn't. On Amazon it also says that the DVD version can run on the OSX system.

Can't find a game in hardcore game modes?

So ever since MW2 or 3 I don't remember, I've primarily been a hardcore game type player. I've never really had an issue in games previously, such as Black Ops 2, however, I've just purchased this game... and I'm immediately regretting it.

 

I've got a little over 2 hours played in game, and approximately 50-60% of that has been waiting for a game. I've literally been in queue for around 30 minutes for hardcore TDM right now.

 

I understand that this isn't a peak hour to play at perhaps, but there are virtually no other players online right now. Is this a normal thing? Currently, more people are playing Black Ops 2 on PC then Ghosts.

 

Why am I paying for a game that I apparently am going to be unable to play due to me playing frequently during this hour? If this is how the game is going to be constantly I will definitely be pursuing a refund, as this is just simply pathetic.

Ghosts doesn't start...

Hello, i just bought Ghosts today, but it just doesnt want to start...

I installed it from the CD, and started it, everything was fine, then i changed some graphics settings and since this, nothing works.

The Game crashed, and if i try to start it there is always the message: Call Of Duty Ghosts doesn't work anymore.

Im really frustrated, i checked the game on steam, updated my graphics card and i am about to reinstall it at the moment.

What could i maybe do?

 

My PC:

i7 2600

GTX680

16GB Ram

Cheaters - How Do you Know Hacker from Legit?

First off obviously there are Hackers in this and practically any Multiplayer game, and Ghost is not exclusive to the Noob Hacker club. So this discussion isn't about whether there are Hackers, there are and it's a fact, but more on 'How you know for sure someone is hacking, or a good player.'

 

If I list 'my' interpretation right off then it will only color your opinions verses other opinions and verses some facts. Key word is facts.

 

I'm a decent FPS gamer and quite frankly I feel like I'm having an 'off day' unless someone throws a hackusation at me every so often...in Ghosts it's about every 2~3 days. It was the same for BO2 and this forum attracts hackusations as the topic of choice along with an assortment of broken attributes of a particular game.

 

Q - How do you know someone is actually hacking?

Current Problem (SP+MP)(100% Broken)

Ok so after 9 hours playing perfectly fine (release day and day after) after this new little patch my game is now totally unplayable.

 

Singleplayer :

 

I load to the main menu fine, soon as I try to start the campaign on the loading screen I crash to desktop with a Fatal Error : Content Package Is No Longer Available

 

Multiplayer :

 

I get to the menu but it just freezes, If i try to move the mouse cursor it takes 20-40 secs to "jump" to the next position. (If I try to follow a friend rather than loading the game, it will say "Server offline check status on ****)

 

Drivers/.Net Framework/DirectX etc... All up to date.

Safe mode does not fix, clean install of both SP + MP does not fix.

Increasing graphic card voltage, does not fix.

Disabling steam overlay/going offline on friends, does not fix.

Defrag/Registry/Ram Clean does not fix.

 

Only thing I have not tried to fix this is doing a fresh install of Windows 7.

 

For the sake of testing I may do it, but I really shouldn't have to and with a patch coming Nov 15th hopefully this is fixed, If not a fresh install of the OS will be the only option left.

 

Unless anyone else has a fix for these issues ?

Menu Contents Not Available? Please help!

I get this error when i try to startup Cod Ghosts: MENU_CONTENTS_NOT_AVAILABLE

 

This is what i've done:

*Right clicked Ghosts & then choose language to English, did not work

*Verify cache

 

 

Also, the Polish language version it WORKS... I can play, but the thing is, i don't understand polish, so please please help me!

beginning of every game lag (stuttering)

Hi there,

 

I have a big problem, and it's made the game 100% unplayable.

 

I'm using a HD 7790 (latest beta drivers)

Amd athlon ii x3 450 (old, but cpu ran bo2 absolutely fine and its the same requirements for ghosts)

HDD: 500GB

PSU: 500W corsair

 

So every single time I start a private match, or multiplayer match, the first minute or even 30-40 seconds of the game, I will lag all over the place and after the time has passed my game runs completely smooth?

 

I was just wondering what the hell is up with this?

 

ps:graphical settings don't make any difference, tried running all low, all maxed, all med etc..

If I could have any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Recently i bought call of duty ghosts for pc.I have some troubles with it tho

 

 

I have i3 2120 3,30 ghz for cpu

for gpu nvidia geforce gtx 520

and ddr3 8 gb ram

 

I have everythink on low,but i still cant play.

Any suggestions?

Wallhackers/Aimbotters are everywhere now. I don't know what's changed, but it's incredibly frequent now.

 

Please do something about it already, this is really absurd. It seems like zero resources are being poured into controlling this problem on PC.

Logitech Gamepad F310

I know, I know, why are you using a gamepad on PC. hahaha

 

On single player my controller was found and works perfectly.
BUT in Multiplayer even after going into the options and selecting controls to a gamepad it doesn't work.
It worked the first day I installed the game via Steam in MP but now it will not.

DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS ISSUE?

disc read error 'image file 49' CoD

Hello,

 

When I start call of duty ghosts - multiplayer everything seems fine. then i press on play online and after a few seconds I get the error message : "disc read error 'image file 49' " and the game crashes. I played this game several times on my pc already and was running fine before.

 

Does anyone know what this error could mean?
